This thesis discusses the role of political education for women based on the principle of justice and gender equality based on Act Number 2 Year 2008 as amended by Act Number 2 Year 2011 on Political Parties (study on DPC PDI Perjuangan Party, DPC Demokrat Party, and DPC Golkar Party in Pontianak City). In addition, it also aims to reveal and analyze the role of political parties in conducting political education for women based on the principles of justice and gender equality, the factors that cause political parties not to play an optimal role in conducting political education for women based on the principle of justice and gender equality , As well as strategic steps to be taken by political parties in optimizing political education for women based on the principles of justice and gender equality. Through literature study using empirical legal approach method, it can be concluded that in reality, the role of political party in Pontianak City in conducting political education for women based on the principle of justice and gender equality based on Act Number 2 Year 2008 as amended by Act Number 2 Year 2011 on Political Party is still not optimal. The factors that cause political parties do not play an optimal role in conducting political education for women based on the principle of justice and gender equality in Pontianak are as follows: (a) lack of budget to conduct political education; (b) political education is more focused on party cadres; and (c) lack of political awareness of women in Pontianak City. Strategic measures taken by political parties in optimizing political education for women based on the principle of justice and gender equality are: (a) to invite women to participate in political education organized for party cadres, thereby saving the budget for the provision of education Politics for women; and (b) appeal to party cadres residing in sub-districts and sub-districts to provide political education for women through meetings at RT, RW levels and in religious activities.
